Intimate Portrait Commission

Description

A hand-painted portrait of the two of you, created slowly in my studio from your photographs. It’s the same care and detail I bring to a live wedding canvas, without the clock, so every fold of fabric, every glance and every bit of light gets the time it deserves.

What’s included

• A 16×20″ gallery canvas
• 2 people, painted in full detail
• Around 15 hours of studio painting
• A planning conversation before I start

Adding a third person? You can add one more person (£150), and I’d recommend the larger 18×24″ canvas (+£150) so everyone keeps their likeness and detail. For more than three people, the Family Legacy commission is made for that, with more canvas and more studio time.

How your commission works

1. Choose your options and check out. At checkout you’ll upload your favourite photo and tell me about your piece.
2. We talk it through. Within a few days I’ll be in touch to go over the composition, setting, colours and any little details you’d like hidden in the painting. Nothing is started until you’re happy with the plan.
3. I paint it in my studio, by hand, in acrylic on a gallery-quality canvas, layer by layer.
4. It’s varnished, wrapped and delivered to your door, with a handwritten note.

Timings

Studio canvases usually arrive within 12 to 16 weeks. In peak wedding season (May to September) it can take a little longer, and I’ll always let you know where your painting is. If you need it for a particular date, such as an anniversary or a gift, tell me at checkout before you book.

Good to know

• Delivery within the UK is included.
• Framing Concierge (£200): your canvas arrives framed and ready to hang.
• Mounting & Hanging Kit (£50): everything you need to hang it yourself.
• Each painting is made to order just for you, so it can’t be returned. If anything arrives damaged, I’ll put it right.
