Family Legacy Commission

Description

A family heirloom, painted by hand in my studio from your photographs. Family Legacy gives me a larger canvas and more studio time, so each person is painted with real likeness and detail, and the whole piece feels considered rather than crowded.

What’s included

• An 18×24″ gallery canvas
• Up to 4 people, painted in full detail
• Around 25 hours of studio painting
• A planning conversation before I start

Adding more people. Extra people are £200 each. The 18×24″ canvas takes up to six people. For seven or eight, the larger 30×40″ canvas (+£350) gives everyone room to keep their likeness and detail. I keep commissions to eight people so that every face still gets the attention it deserves. For larger groups, get in touch and we’ll talk about what will work best.

How your commission works

1. Choose your options and check out. At checkout you’ll upload your favourite photo and tell me about your piece.
2. We talk it through. Within a few days I’ll be in touch to go over the composition, setting, colours and any little details you’d like hidden in the painting. Nothing is started until you’re happy with the plan.
3. I paint it in my studio, by hand, in acrylic on a gallery-quality canvas, layer by layer.
4. It’s varnished, wrapped and delivered to your door, with a handwritten note.

Timings

Studio canvases usually arrive within 12 to 16 weeks. In peak wedding season (May to September) it can take a little longer, and I’ll always let you know where your painting is. If you need it for a particular date, such as an anniversary or a gift, tell me at checkout before you book.

Good to know

• Framing Concierge (£200): your canvas arrives framed and ready to hang.
• Mounting & Hanging Kit (£50): everything you need to hang it yourself.
• Each painting is made to order just for you, so it can’t be returned. If anything arrives damaged, I’ll put it right.
